Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow(notes) has only been in the league for one season, but he’s taking some leadership steps this offseason. League sources tell ESPN that he “organized his own team workouts with fellow Denver receivers in Jacksonville.”
The site reports that Tebow flew wide receiver Brandon Lloyd(notes), Jabar Gaffney(notes) and Britt Davis(notes) to Jacksonville last week, paid for them to stay in a hotel all week, and “then led a week of workouts in his hometown.”
Three other Broncos receivers would have liked to have been there, the source told ESPN, but Eric Decker(notes) “had another commitment,” and Demaryius Thomas(notes) and Eddie Royal(notes) are both injured.
Tebow played in four games for the Broncos last season, throwing for 654 yards and five touchdowns along with three interceptions.
