Let’s catch up on some AFC West headlines: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Denver quarterback Tim Tebow paid for most of the Denver Broncos’ receivers to fly to Jacksonville for a recent workout session. Schefter reports the group is planning to do the same soon in Arizona. It has to impress and motivate veterans such as Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Lloyd that their young quarterback footed the bill for the workouts.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow(notes) has only been in the league for one season, but he’s taking some leadership steps this offseason. League sources tell ESPN that he “organized his own team workouts with fellow Denver receivers in Jacksonville.” The site reports that Tebow flew wide receiver Brandon Lloyd(notes), Jabar Gaffney(notes) and Britt Davis(notes) to Jacksonville last week, paid for them to stay in a hotel all week, and “then led a week of workouts in his hometown.” Three other Broncos receivers would have liked to have been there, the source told ESPN, but Eric Decker(notes) “had another commitment,” and Demaryius Thomas(notes) and Eddie Royal(notes) are both injured.

Updated: May 30, 2011, 5:05 PM ET Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has organized his own team workouts with fellow Denver receivers in Jacksonville, according to a league source. Last week, Tebow flew Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney and Britt Davis to Jacksonville, put them up in a nearby hotel, and then led a week of workouts in his hometown, the source said. Each of the Broncos receivers had hoped to come, the source said, but Eric Decker had another commitment, and Demaryius Thomas (torn Achilles) and Eddie Royal (strained hamstring) were unable to practice at this time due to lingering injuries

The ex-wife of former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway is engaged to be married. Janet Elway says her fiance is Kevin Kretzmar, president of Centennial-based Safe Money and a branch manager for Summit Brokerage Services.
